Professor Dr. Rabiul Hossain

Recognition Award for his service to the society and the country through Bangladesh armed forces as a Professor of Medicine, Chief Physician and Director General of Medical Services of Bangladesh Armed forces and running charity projects in his hometown Pabna.
Born in Pabna, Professor Rabiul Hossain went to Pabna Zilla School and Dhaka college for his early studies. He graduated from Chittagong Medical College in 1977 and joined Bangladesh Armed Forces medical Corps the same year. He obtained Fellowship of Royal College of Medicine in 2001. During his distinguished career at Bangladesh Armed Forces he served as a professor of Medicine of Armed Forces Medical College, Chief Physician of Dhaka combined Military Hospital and Director general of Medical Services of Bangladesh Armed Forces. He authored about 80 scientific papers and wrote four fiction and non-fiction books. He received lifetime achievement award from NIMS University, Jaipur, India. During his post retirement life, he has dedicated his time doing charity work in Pabna.
